No advertising or analytics trackers are installed in this portfolio’s code. This is a personal website showcasing my career and skills. It has no accounts, contact forms, advertising pixels, session replay, or visitor database. I do not use this site to sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or build advertising profiles.
Information used to deliver this site
Visiting a website still involves data processing. The hosting and security services used to deliver this portfolio, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare, receive connection information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and request times. Cloudflare may use security cookies, including __cf_bm, to distinguish people from automated traffic. Cloudflare documents that this cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity; this is a cookie lifetime, not a deletion deadline for server logs. These are different from advertising trackers.
Fonts, images and the decorative video are served directly from this website. Loading the page does not request fonts from Google. LinkedIn is an external link, not an embedded feed or tracking pixel. Following it takes you to a separate service governed by its own privacy practices.
The portfolio’s code does not store a browsing history or personal profile. The site’s application code does not write visitor logs or store request information. Hosting and security providers separately maintain operational information. Cloudflare describes retention based on service purposes, the information involved and legal requirements. OpenAI’s Sites data-processing terms describe processing for hosting, maintenance and support, with return or deletion provisions after the agreement ends, subject to legal retention. These documents do not establish one deletion deadline for this site’s technical logs; I cannot promise a specific number of days. If you contact me through LinkedIn, your message and profile information are processed there and are available to me for responding.
The site does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals: no advertising, analytics, sale or targeted-advertising functionality is enabled in its code, with or without those signals. These signals do not switch off delivery or security processing by providers. Browser cookie controls may affect security checks.
Depending on applicable law and the information involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. For a privacy question or request, contact Joe DeRosa on LinkedIn. Please identify your request without including passwords, identity documents or sensitive personal information. LinkedIn may require an account to send a message. If you disagree with a response, you can ask for a review through the same contact channel; statutory rights and complaint options remain available where applicable.
This is a professional portfolio, not a service directed to children. It does not ask visitors to submit personal information. Changes to these practices will be described here with a revised effective date. This notice applies to this portfolio, not to my employer’s websites.
ACCESS FOR EVERYONE
Accessibility statement
Last updated October 3, 2026
I want people with disabilities to be able to explore this portfolio. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the accessibility improvement target. A complete independent conformance evaluation has not been performed, so this statement is not a claim of full WCAG or legal compliance.
Use the “Skip to content” link and keyboard navigation to reach the main content. The work tabs support arrow keys, Home and End.
Use “Pause motion” to stop the scroll journey, or enable reduced motion in your device settings. A text version of the journey is available below the animation.
The city video is decorative and muted; the professional information is available as text. Browser zoom is supported.
Use “Pause counters” beside the learning timeline to stop its changing numbers.
If something is difficult to read, navigate or use, contact Joe DeRosa on LinkedIn about accessibility. Include the affected section, the barrier and your preferred way to receive the information. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis. LinkedIn may require an account; it is currently the published contact channel.
Keyboard navigation, the text alternative, pause controls and narrow-screen layouts were reviewed on October 3, 2026. The introduction uses a static layout in short windows to keep text and controls from overlapping. Testing with screen readers and some browser and assistive-technology combinations remains outstanding. External websites have their own accessibility features. This statement does not waive anyone’s legal rights or replace the work of identifying and fixing accessibility barriers.
